Dilmah Tea’s Resplendent Ceylon is creating a collection of small, luxury resorts that offer the discriminating traveller a unique circuit across Sri Lanka, with a range of authentic cultural experiences, while contributing towards local communities and the environment through the MJF Foundation & Dilmah Conservation. The circuit currently comprises of three resorts, all members of Relais & Chateaux. We call it the Resplendent Sri Lanka Journey – Tea, Sea & Safari.

Cape Weligama is the most sumptuous resort along this fabled island’s palm fringed shores. Thirty minutes east of Galle, Cape Weligama’s 39 rooms inhabit 12 tropical acres atop a singular promontory rising 40 metres above the Indian Ocean.


The Role

Responsible of performing physical inventories for the food and beverage and retail areas as required and routine analysis on product mix/margin and understands the impact of the merchandising efforts on revenue. Assist with inputting prices, menu changes and user changes in the point of sale (POS) system. Input receipt of all food, beverage and other goods into the inventory and into the recipe part of the purchasing system. Investigate all measurement unit issues and noticeable price variances as required. Managing all inventories on the stipulated time period and provide management information as and when required. Maintaining master cost files and recipes. Perform random checks to verify all products are stored appropriately and secured and perform any other duties assigned by the management.


The Profile

The ideal candidate should be below 35 years of age with full or part qualification in CA, ACCA or CIMA. A Degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputed institute will be an added advantageous. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity in the Hospitality sector is essential to perform this role. Possess excellent analytical, supervisory and communication skills with good computer literacy is must. Also be an experience candidate with effective decision making skills, good supervisory, interpersonal skills, fluency in English (both written and oral), ability to work within a team and ability work under pressure are key competencies sought.
