Best Rate Guaranteed
Resplendent Ceylon Website is owned and operated on behalf of Resplendent Ceylon Ltd and is also referred to as the “Resplendent Ceylon hotels official website”. This website provides products and services for all resort brands (including but not limited to Ceylon Tea Trails, Cape Weligama, and Wild Coast Tented Lodge) under Resplendent Ceylon management.
Best Rate Guarantee is applied when you make a confirmed reservation through the Resplendent Ceylon official website. If in an unlikely event you find a lower publicly available rate (“Lower Rate”) online on a non-Resplendent Ceylon website within 24 hours of making your reservation, we will match the lower rate, subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Confirmed reservations must be made through Resplendent Ceylon hotels official website.
- Both rates, the rate reserved on Resplendent Ceylon hotels official website and the lower rate found in the public domain must be currently applicable room rates available online.
- The Lower Rate found in the public domain should have same terms and conditions governing the room rate and must be for the identical/same type of accommodation, which means the same room type, at the same hotel or resort, for the same dates and length of stay, same number of guests, with a similar view or room size, same inclusions/exclusions (tax, VAT, service charge, currency, food and beverage items and other inclusive items), same booking conditions (minimum / maximum length of stay, last minute conditions, deposit and payment terms, change and cancellation policies or other conditions such as non-refundable and / or advance purchase policies), etc.
- You must complete and submit an online claim form to Resplendent Ceylon in accordance with the claim form’s instructions to process the claim.
- You must submit your claim within 24 hours of the reservation being made with Resplendent Ceylon hotels official website and at least 48 hours before the standard check-in time at the applicable Resplendent Ceylon resort.
- Only one claim may be submitted in connection with any confirmed stay. A “stay” means the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel or resort by the same guest or guests. You must complete the stay.
- Resplendent Ceylon reserve the right to verify the claim using the information disclosed in the duly completed claim form and other information available to Resplendent Ceylon.
- If the Best Rate Guarantee claim refers to a reservation consisting of several nights’ accommodation, the average rate for each night will be compared with an identical reservation, using the website where the lower rate is found.
- Rate comparisons will be made net of taxes, gratuities, service charges, early departure fees, or other fees and incidental charges. Free breakfast, other meals, and free or discounted amenities or services offered as part of the Lower Rate will be excluded from the rate comparison, and will not be provided by Resplendent Ceylon Resorts when matching the Lower Rate.
- A Best Rate Guaranteed claim can be invalidated by Resplendent Ceylon if the availability of a Lower Rate cannot be independently verified at the time of processing the claim. The Lower Rate must be public and bookable on another website. Advertised or inquiry only rates do not qualify.
- Resplendent Ceylon may at any time and without notice terminate or restrict a person’s ability to submit a claim under or otherwise benefit from the Best Rate Guarantee if in its sole discretion Resplendent Ceylon determines that such person has: (a) acted in a manner inconsistent with applicable laws or ordinances; (b) the claim submitted is incomplete or do not contain details required; (c) acted in a fraudulent or abusive manner; (d) submitted multiple invalid Best Rate Guarantee claims; (e) failed to stay at a Resplendent Ceylon hotel or resort after receiving approved Best Rate Guarantee claims; or (f) breached any of these terms and conditions.
- The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to existing reservations that are not booked through Resplendent Ceylon hotels official website, and Resplendent Ceylon shall not be responsible or liable for any fees/charges/cost incurred by the claimant associated with cancelling a reservation made through a different channel (e.g., a call centre, a non-Resplendent Ceylon booking channel/website).
- The guest who makes a confirmed reservation will be responsible for all costs, expenses and fees associated with such reservation (like cancellation fees), regardless of whether a Best Price Guarantee claim is denied.
- A claim may be invalidated if you make any changes to the reservation after the claim is submitted and approved.
- Resplendent Ceylon may deny claims where the applicable Resplendent Ceylon hotel or resort will no longer be operating as a part of Resplendent Ceylon Ltd., on the date of the stay in question.
- Any disputes arising out of or related to the Best Rate Guarantee or these terms and conditions shall be handled individually without any class action and shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
- Void where prohibited by law, Resplendent Ceylon reserves the right to amend, revise, supplement, suspend or discontinue the Best Rate Guarantee program and the terms and conditions at any time in its sole discretion and without prior notice.
Our Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to the following:
- Reservations booked via non-Resplendent Ceylon websites.
- Hotel packages or travel packages that may include hotel, airfare, car rental, food and beverage offers or other similar packages or amenities.
- Discount or negotiated rates not available to the general public, including but not limited to membership rates (e.g., AAA), corporate, government, promotional, unpublished, packaged or opaque rates, rates appearing on auction websites, group or other specially negotiated rates or rates available on closed membership sites, or rates attained through the use of third party discount codes or coupons.
- Reservations made within 48 hours of arrival.
- Package or group add-on rates that extend the length of a stay.
- Rates applicable to only a portion of the entire scheduled stay.
- Taxes, gratuities, service charges, early departure fees or other fees and incidental charges.
- Rate disparities due to fluctuations, rounding or differences in currency exchange rates.
- Resplendent Ceylon websites rates or rate plans that are not available due to an outage, a technical issue or a circumstance beyond Resplendent Ceylon’s reasonable control.
- Rates which are published due to technical or system errors.
For a claim to be eligible under the Best Rate Guarantee, it must be submitted through the claim form through Resplendent Ceylon hotels official website, click here. A claim must be submitted no more than 24 hours after making a reservation through a Resplendent Ceylon direct channel, and at least 48 hours before the standard check-in time at the applicable Resplendent Ceylon hotel or resort. The claim will be processed within 24 hours.
