
Dilmah Tea’s Resplendent Ceylon is creating a collection of small, luxury resorts that offer the discerning traveller a unique circuit across Sri Lanka, with a range of authentic cultural experiences, while contributing towards local communities and the environment through the MJF Foundation & Dilmah Conservation. The circuit currently comprises of three resorts, all members of Relais & Chateaux. We call it the Resplendent Sri Lanka Journey – Tea, Sea & Safari.
Wild Coast Lodge sits on a secluded beach on the edge of Yala National Park. 28 vaulted “Cocoon” tents offer the comfort of a luxury hotel with the excitement of a safari style wilderness experience.
THE ROLE
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service, lead and manage the day to day operations of the Housekeeping Department whilst supporting the Rooms Division Manager. The individual should be able to prepare annual budgets and needs to control all purchases for the department. Consistently aware of quality and cost as well as follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards. Should be able to improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
YOUR PROFILE
The ideal candidate should have qualifications in Hotel Management or equivalent. Knowledge of housekeeping operations. Poses over 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper or in a similar capacity and excellent interpersonal/communication skills with a great team spirit to work with other departments are expected. This is not a desk job.
