Resplendent Ceylon offers a complete ‘tea, sea and safari’ experience across its trio of Relais & Chateaux properties: Ceylon Tea Trails, Wild Coast Tented Lodge and Cape Weligama. Reverie is our new collection of small, laid-back properties in idyllic parts of Sri Lanka, starting with two beachside resorts Ahu Bay and Kayaam House.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team. As the Chef de Cuisine, you’ll be responsible for managing our kitchen operations at Cape Weligama, from menu planning to staff training. You’ll create amazing dishes, ensure food safety, lead our team of chefs, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on new culinary ideas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of culinary techniques, a passion for food, and excellent leadership skills.

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably at a luxury resort.
• Proficient in a wide range of culinary techniques and cuisines, with a deep passion for food.
• Creative and innovative approach to menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
• Strong knowledge and adherence to food safety regulations and practices.
• Efficient management skills in kitchen operations, including inventory control, cost management, and staff scheduling.
• Committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
