Dilmah Tea’s Resplendent Ceylon is creating a collection of small, luxury resorts that offer the discerning traveller a unique circuit across Sri Lanka, with a range of authentic cultural experiences, while contributing towards local communities and the environment through the MJF Foundation & Dilmah Conservation. The circuit currently comprises of three resorts, all members of Relais & Chateaux. We call it the Resplendent Sri Lanka Journey – Tea, Sea & Safari.

THE ROLE

We are on the lookout for a Reservations Executive to join the reservations team at the Resplendent Ceylon office in Colombo. The candidate should:

• Provide travel information, itineraries and prices
• Use selling techniques to promote packages and suggest journeys
• Assist and advise guests on logistics involving ground and air transportation
• Counsel clients on terms and conditions of travel e.g. cancellation policies
• Maintain clear communication channels
• Have attention to detail and be sensitive to guest needs

YOUR PROFILE

Candidates must have a good educational background and preferably hold academic qualifications. Previous experience in handling reservations at a reputed hotel/boutique hotel is desired. A pleasing personality, willingness to work long hours, ability to work and make decisions under pressure, sales and good communication skills are essential. Knowledge of RMS software packages, experience in DMC roll or hotel front office would be a distinct advantage. A high command of English language, both spoken & written is expected.
