A dedicated Health & Safety Guide for hotels, to monitor and manage stringent health and safety measures.

Resplendent Ceylon has launched SafeStay, a dedicated Health & Safety Guide for hotels, to monitor and manage stringent health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Despite comprising low density resorts in isolated locations, Resplendent Ceylon believes the Guide is essential to ensure protection of guests, staff and respective communities from COVID-19.

It covers logistics, transport, guest and staff contact areas, emergency response, safety equipment and chemicals, maintenance duties, as well as communications. Mandatory staff training will take place prior to the resumption of operations. Content will be updated to reflect new information on mitigating risk.

The Resplendent SafeStay guide is made available to all hotels and tourism accommodations at home and overseas to help protect guests, staff and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Resplendent Ceylon looks forward to welcoming foreign guests back to Sri Lanka and will continue to maintain our renowned standard of excellence, as well as highest levels of safety and hygiene.

Resplendent is also accredited to the world’s first-ever global safety and hygiene stamp, launched recently by the World Travel & Tourism Council. WTTC, which represents the global Travel & Tourism private sector, created the Safe Travels stamp to allow travellers to identify destinations and businesses around the world which have adopted the global standardised health and hygiene protocols.

All guests will be given their own face masks, personal hand sanitizer, and undergo a quick health screening process.
All guest baggage will be sanitized upon arrival.
All documents will be handled with gloves and credit/debit card transactions will be encouraged.

A distance of 1.5m will be observed between all staff members and guests. Minimum space of 3m is maintained between all tables.
Tables, chairs and all surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized after each guest has dined.
All bill folders, pens used for transactions will be sanitized after each use
Gloves will be used by all members of staff.
Menus will be presented to guests on a tray to prevent cross contamination and are laminated and sanitized after every use.

All staff members are required to clean and sanitize all equipment and work surfaces before and after every use according to safety protocols.
All staff members will ensure no physical contact with food and will wear masks and gloves.
All cutlery, crockery and glassware will be cleaned and sanitized according to our safety protocols.

All surfaces and linen will be disinfected and sanitized according to our safety protocols after the conclusion of each guest's stay, including remote controllers, switches and electric devices as well as soft surfaces such as carpets, drapes, throw cushions etc.
All food and beverage staff will follow all our safety protocols before and after serving any guest.
All utensils will also be sanitized before and after use by guests.

All sunbeds, umbrellas, side tables and shower areas will be disinfected and sanitized according to our safety protocols.
All linen will be changed and disinfected after each guest.
