This is a low-country tea plantation within sniffing distance of the sea, owned by third-generation planter and author Herman Gunarathne. The estate is famed for its ‘virgin white tea’, which retails for over US$1,500/kg, and stocks the shelves of tip-top tea gourmet Mariage Frères in Paris.

Guided tours of the serene estate include a walk-through of the antique factory and afternoon tea with cake.

- There is no fee, although a contribution (tip) to the guide is recommended.
- Guests are advised to inform their curator and confirm by afternoon, the day prior to the experience or at the point of making the room reservation.
