Ceylon Tea Trails

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Step into timeless festive charm at our planters’ bungalows. Enjoy a six-course curated menu on Christmas Eve before carols by the fire. On Christmas Day, Santa will delight children with gifts, while adults can indulge in festive treats, a gourmet five-course lunch, and another decadent six-course dinner.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day
Ring in 2026 with signature hyper-local cocktails and a six-course indulgent dinner. Fireworks, laughter, and warm embraces will set the tone for the new year. On New Year’s Day, guests are invited to take part in a traditional island ceremony.

Daily Festivities
Between 20th and 31st December, enjoy seasonal touches from festive turndowns to Christmas cocktails. Highlights include decorating the Christmas tree on 21st December and festive Afternoon Cream Teas. Families can also join a variety of immersive experiences: gardening and upcycling workshops, bird watching, painting outdoors, nature walks, fishing on Castlereagh, and more.

Wild Coast Tented Lodge

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Nestled between the Indian Ocean and Yala National Park, Wild Coast offers a truly unique Christmas. Gather for a six-course dinner with live music and carols on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, Santa brings joy to the little ones, while the chefs prepare a festive six-course menu to be served at The Dining Room.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day
Welcome 2026 with live music, signature cocktails and a celebratory six-course dinner. On New Year’s morning, join traditional cultural ceremonies and performances.

Please note : Beach, Bush and Dune Dining will not be available on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

Cape Weligama

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
On Christmas Eve, enjoy a six-course curated dinner at Atlas, accompanied by live music to set the perfect ambiance. On Christmas Day, children can look forward to gifts from Santa and festive activities, while guests indulge in another bespoke six-course dining experience prepared by our chefs.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a six-course dinner, hyper-local cocktails, live music, and a traditional cultural show. A fireworks display will add to the celebrations as we welcome 2026 together. On New Year’s Day, take part in island traditions and ceremonies marking the dawn of the year.

Please note: Tableau, Lookout Dining, Cove Pool Dining, and Heritage Breakfast at Kumbuk will not be available on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

Daily Festivities
From 20th December to 10th January, enjoy daily sundowners overlooking the ocean. On 23rd December, join the tree lighting ceremony, carols, and cocktails with the General Manager.

Local Market – A pop-up showcasing artisans from Weligama, with lace-making, pottery, batik, paintings, and more.
Mask Making – Learn the traditional art of mask making, from shaping to painting your own design.
Cape Social – Held three times a week, featuring local cocktails paired with canapés inspired by the region.
Kids Surfing – Safe and exciting lessons for young surfers on Weligama’s well-known beach.
Ice Cream for the Soul – Indulge in island flavours such as cashew, mango, passion fruit, coconut, and rambutan.
The Heartbeat of Our Community – Visit the MJF Centre at Cape Weligama and engage with its educational and livelihood programmes.

Ahu Bay

On both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, guests can enjoy a beautifully curated six-course festive menu, paired with seasonal ambience and ocean views. A solo artist will perform on the 24th and 25th, setting the perfect tone for your celebrations. Children can also look forward to a joyful visit from Santa on Christmas Day.

New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day
Welcome 2026 with a refined six-course dinner accompanied by a two-piece band and celebratory cocktails and canapés. As the evening unfolds, enjoy music, coastal charm, and the warm spirit of Ahungalla. On New Year’s Day, start the year with relaxed beachfront celebrations designed to carry the festive mood into 2026.

Ring in the New Year with soulful energy at Kayaam Wellness. On 31st December, enjoy live music paired with an elegant six-course celebratory dinner. On New Year’s Day, guests are invited to welcome 2026 through serene, wellness-led celebrations that honour renewal, connection, and the beauty of new beginnings.
