Cape Weligama, the iconic resort on Sri Lanka’s southern coast and part of Resplendent Ceylon, has achieved a prestigious Condé Nast Traveller Triple Crown, having been recognised across three of the publication’s most important accolades: the Hot List, Readers’ Choice Awards and Gold List.

This milestone marks more than a decade of recognition from Condé Nast Traveller. Cape Weligama first appeared on the Hot List in 2015, celebrating the world’s most exciting new hotels. The resort has since been recognised in the Readers’ Choice Awards on six occasions between 2018 and 2024, including five consecutive years, before earning a place on the Gold List 2026.
