Ceylon Tea Trails has been recognised among the world’s finest luxury lodges, securing third place in the prestigious Lodge category at the Hôtel & Lodge Awards 2026.

Organised by French luxury travel publication Hôtel & Lodge, the annual awards celebrate exceptional hospitality experiences from around the globe. The Lodge category honours properties that offer immersive stays in remarkable natural settings, from remote wildernesses and pristine forests to dramatic coastlines and untamed landscapes.

This year’s ranking places Ceylon Tea Trails alongside some of the world’s most extraordinary wilderness retreats.

Located in the mist-covered hills of Sri Lanka’s tea country, Ceylon Tea Trails pioneered the luxury tea bungalow concept when it opened in 2005.
