The first of such programs for the United Nations Global Compact.  Held amidst the stunning vistas of Cape Weligama, the program marked a significant step for Sri Lankan corporates committed to fostering truly inclusive workplaces.

The ToT brought together members of the UNGC Gender & Diversity Working Group alongside representatives from several leading Sri Lankan corporates.  The central theme of the day echoed a powerful sentiment: Allyship is not about offering support from the sidelines. It is an active process—a continuous commitment to challenging and reshaping the systems, structures, and norms that have historically excluded or undervalued certain voices.

This Training of Trainers served as a crucial starting point—a foundational step in equipping our organisations to become agents of lasting transformation. The long-term goal is clear: to shift our workplace culture from mere intention to measurable impact.

By empowering our participants as trainers, this program ensures that the momentum generated doesn’t stop here. They are now equipped to go back to their respective companies and facilitate further training, ensuring these vital principles of equity and inclusion are not just policies on paper, but embedded into the daily practice and DNA of the workplace.

Cape Weligama is proud to have provided the inspiring backdrop for this essential work, and we look forward to witnessing the positive cultural shifts these leaders will champion across Sri Lanka’s corporate landscape. The journey toward a truly equitable future requires sustained effort, and we are thrilled to be part of this collective stride forward.
