Cape Weligama offers a world of adventure for young explorers, ensuring family travel is both memorable and fun. Delight in nature scavenger hunts, building floating rafts, sketching nature and more. Our Forest School, inspired by nature, features activities like tree climbing, sand play, and gardening—nurturing creativity and independence. From mud kitchens to butterfly gardens and storytelling sessions, it’s the ultimate haven for little adventurers to learn, play, and discover the beauty of our vibrant surroundings.
The Forest School experience is thoughtfully designed to engage children across four age groups (2–5, 6–8, 9–12, and 13–15 years), with a variety of complimentary, age-appropriate activities that inspire curiosity and connection with nature. Children can enjoy creative sessions such as pebble art, nature bracelets, and mud painting; unwind with cloud watching and storytelling; explore tree leaf identification and shadow puppet theatre; build bug hotels and take on forest obstacle courses; and discover the wonders of star navigation, rain gauges, and more.
