#BeginAgain

Ground. Find your center.

Breathe. Breathe again.

And again.

As yet another year comes to an end, it is apparent we’ve plenty of challenges that continue to compromise our ideal sense of living. A global pandemic. Climate change. World hunger. Literacy. Preserving heritage and culture. Humanity.

We all look to fresh starts, the beginning of a new year as an opportunity to reset. And while we do so, it is in our nature to harbour a positive outlook, a sense of resilience and strength.
From our family at Resplendent Ceylon, here are a few intentional practices that are inspired by the natural surroundings of our resorts to #beginagain.

Diversify your surroundings

A change of place. A renewed sense of perspective.

Whether you choose to spend a few hours amongst the lush gardens at our bungalows in the hills or beneath the balmy coconut trees beside the moon pool on the southern coast of our island, embody how each surrounding enriches you.

Embrace new hobbies

Have fun. Grow while you’re at it.

From the adrenaline-pumping experience of riding the waves atop a surfboard to harnessing a deeper connection between breath and movement while practicing yoga, hobbies not only satisfies the curious and ever-growing mind, but also enables you to grow spiritually and improves mental health.

Be still

Inner stillness. Outer strength.

Notice how nature is always as it should be. And yet, how with each salty breeze, the trees sway, the water ripples, the air changes. Allow it to guide you towards inner stillness and outer strength.

Let go

Change is inevitable. Move on.

The seas are a constant reminder of how important it is to integrate the idea of change. Nothing is ever the same. With each moment there is a flush of energy, force and strength and then there’s the inevitable ideology of letting go and moving forward. An ebb and flow.

Connect

Root to rise.

While our sense of familiarity and comfort may still be challenged, it is our deep connection with ourselves, our loved ones and Earth Mother that allow us to stay grounded, practice being present in every moment and find purpose in the everyday.

Wherever you are reading this from, may these practices assist you in 2022 in the best way possible.

Happy New Year!
