Whether you’re a complete beginner or ride the waves like a pro, the waters of Blue Beach offer a combination of great surfing experiences. Private surfing lessons can be arranged with lifeguards on beaches that are within a half an hour drive from our resort. Surfing can be enjoyed at any time of the year and will be dependent on the weather on a particular day. The best waves however are usually between November and April.

Unakuruwa has a right-hand break that is suitable for advanced and professional surfers. Nilwella is ideal for beginners as it has a sandy bottom and both right- and left-hand breaks.
